Assistive Technology Lab (ATLAB) is an Occupational Therapy service focussed on providing clinical and technical supports to Assistive Technology users throughout the Northern Territory (and regional and remote Australia).

ATLAB has been developed in response to the major reforms occurring in the disability sector and guided by 15 years experience working in the Assistive Technology sector primarily in the Northern Territory.

ATLAB’s primary function is to provide therapeutic supports to assist clients, families and service providers to access suitable assistive technologies including and not limited to wheelchairs and mobility aids, supportive seating and pressure care equipment, specialty controls and devices, mounting systems.

Supports include clinical assessments and reviews, equipment trial coordination, equipment prescription and funding applications, equipment fitting and adjustments, equipment audits, user and carer training, AT supplier supports including repair and maintenance coordination support.

ATLAB is also active with sector development projects and resource development.

Supports and services will begin to roll-out from July 2018.
